Appointment confirmation — automatic or manual

Each clinic sets its own confirmation preference. Some clinics use instant auto-confirmation — after you pick an available slot, it is added to the schedule immediately. Others prefer manual review, in which case your request is forwarded to clinic staff and you receive a response promptly. The confirmation status updates in real time inside PetConnect and you receive a push notification either way.

Cancelling and rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule any appointment directly from PetConnect. The change is forwarded to the clinic instantly. For cancellations made within the window allowed by clinic policy, no extra steps are needed — the clinic system updates automatically and the slot becomes available for another patient.

Same-day and emergency bookings

In urgent situations, PetConnect shows the clinic's real-time availability so you can check for same-day openings immediately. If a slot is available, you can select it and confirm the booking on the spot. If the clinic is fully booked, you can call or message the clinic directly from within the app. Many clinics define a separate priority flow for emergencies; PetConnect displays this information on the clinic profile.

Managing appointments for multiple pets

You can add multiple animals to your PetConnect account. Each pet has its own profile; when booking, you select which pet the appointment is for. The clinic can access that pet's health history, vaccination status, and previous visit notes at the moment of the appointment — so the veterinarian is prepared before you arrive.

Appointment reminders

When you create a booking, PetConnect schedules automatic reminders. You receive a notification 24 hours before the appointment and a second reminder on the morning of the visit. This eliminates last-minute no-shows, reduces the clinic's cancellation rate, and makes the appointment flow more predictable for both sides.
