Diagnostic Data Policy

This policy explains the collection, storage, and use of diagnostic data managed through the Vetigen platform.

Diagnostic data contains critical information about animal health and requires special protection.

Types of diagnostic data managed:

• Laboratory test results (blood, urine, fecal analyses)
• Medical images (X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI)
• Pathology and histopathology reports
• Cytology test results
• Culture and sensitivity test results

• Encryption: All diagnostic data is stored encrypted with AES-256
• Backup: Daily automated backup with disaster recovery
• Retention: Diagnostic data is retained for a minimum of 10 years
• Deletion: Secure deletion protocols at the end of retention period

To ensure diagnostic data quality, Vetigen:

• Automated data validation and format checks
• Standard terminology and coding (LOINC, SNOMED)
• Reference ranges and critical value alerts
• Result versioning and change tracking
